Configuration
Initial configuration
After installation, a few configuration steps are required.
1. Company information
Go to Settings > Company to fill in:
- Company name
- Full address
- UID number (CHE-xxx.xxx.xxx)
- VAT number
- Bank details (IBAN)
2. Fiscal year
Create your first fiscal year in Accounting > Fiscal Years:
- Start date (usually 1 January)
- End date (31 December)
- Currency (CHF by default)
3. Chart of accounts
AltiusOne includes a standard Swiss chart of accounts (SME). You can:
- Use the default plan as is
- Customise accounts to your needs
- Import an existing chart of accounts (CSV/Excel)
4. Users and roles
Create user accounts in Settings > Users:
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Administrator | Full access to all modules |
| Manager | Accounting, invoicing, payroll management |
| Accountant | Journal entries, reports, VAT |
| Employee | View own pay slips |
5. Nextcloud connection
SSO with Nextcloud is automatically configured via OIDC. Users can access their documents directly from AltiusOne.
